Mission Statement

The Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing the citizens of White House with a diverse range of recreational programs and facilities that will meet the leisure needs of each citizen regardless of age, race, sex, or economic status.

Fall BaseballPractice/Game Schedules - 4/5/67/89/10

        Men's Adult Church League Basketball - Registration begins Tuesday, September 7th and 
        ends Thursday, October 21st. $475 per team. League will be limited to 8 teams. Regular 
        season will begin in November with Tuesday night games. Post-Season Tournament. Rules

        Youth Basketball- Registration ends October 21st. Registration fee: $65 for City Residents & 
        $77 for Non-City Residents. 1st & 2nd Grade - Co-ed. 3rd & 4th Grade Girls-Post-Season 
        Tournament. 3rd & 4th Grade Boys-Post Season Tournament. Saturday Games will begin in

- Fee $3.00/class 
        Monday 9:00-10:00 am
        Tuesday 9:15-10:15 am
        Wednesday 6:30-7:30 pm - Starting September 1st

Special Events/Programs

         Bike Parade & Safety Day - Labor Day 
Monday, 
September 6, 2010.

         S.P.E.A.R.E. Class- Saturday, September 18th from 8:00a.m.-12:00p.m. Phase 1- Class will 
         be held at the White House Police Department and is led by Sergeant Enck. 
         Class will include a PowerPoint and defense tactics. 
         Class is open to all women and is free of charge. 
         Limited to the first 35 women to sign-up. To sign-up come by the Parks and Recreation 
         office or call 672-4350 ext 2114. Check out the flyer here!
   
     
        
Cornhole Tournament - 
Saturday, September 25th at 11:00a.m. we will host the 1st Annual 
        Tournament. The tournament will take place at the White House Municipal Park-(in case of 
        inclement weather tournament will be held at City Hall). $35 entry fee per team-(2-person 
        teams). Registration will end September 16th. Lunch will be provided for all participants. Cash 
        prize for 1st & 2nd Place teams. Games will be self-scored. Double Elimination. 16 Teams

        Harvest Moon 10K - Saturday, October 9th. Check-in & late registration will begin at 
        7:00a.m. Run will begin at 8:00a.m. sharp. Awards will follow at 9:30a.m. Course is different   
        from last year! The course will begin at the White House Municipal Park. Start behind football 
        press box and run 3.5 miles on Greenway, then get out on 31W and go down Calista Rd., and 
        through Indian Ridge to come back through the park by the tennis courts. Early Bird 
        registration is $25/person and $65/Family-up to 4 members until September 16th. After 
        September 16th $30/person and $75/Family-up to 4 members.Get registration form here or

Trail of Treats-Thursday, October 28, 2010
       Trail will begin at the White House High School Greenway Trailhead (Tyree Springs Rd.) and     
        continue along the Greenway. All kids must provide their own basket or bag for candy and 
        treats! For businesses that would like to set a booth up, registration form and guidelines

Educational Classes

Various educational classes are held during the year at the Billy S. Hobbs Municipal Building. These classes may include water color, Spanish speaking, sign language, photography, etc. Please check back for information on new classes.
