Inclement Weather Policy


Get real-time updates for White House Parks fields and facilities. All sites are reviewed daily and will be updated by 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, 7:00 a.m. on Saturdays and 10:00 a.m. on Sundays when there are tournaments.

 

The system provides user-friendly options:

  • View the status of facilities at www.cityofwhitehouse.com (scroll down and it is located on the right. You can wait to your desired location or click the box to direct you to the full list of fields and facilities) or www.RainoutLine.com or on a mobile device.
  • Sign up for customized email and/or text alerts for the field(s) and facility(s) of your choice at www.RainoutLine.com. Alerts are sent if the field or facility status changes.
  • Download the free www.RainoutLine.com iPhone or Android mobile app (search White House Parks).
  • Call our phone line at 615-246-0750 and enter the extension for the field or facility of your choice.
  • Green = Open, Yellow = Delayed, Red = Closed, ? = Important information (e.g., practice or game have been moved to a different field)

 

*Although game and practice time decisions are made by 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and 7:00 a.m. on weekends, coaches and/or umpires make the final determination, if weather or field conditions have changed once play has begun. Please contact your league coach, if you are uncertain about the status of a practice or game.

Americans with Disabilities Act


In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the City of White House, Tennessee, will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities in the area of services, facilities, programs or activities.

The City of White House will make all reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all City of White House facilities, programs, services and activities.

The ADA does not require the City of White House to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or services, or impose an undue financial or administrative burden. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a City of White House program, service or activity should contact the ADA Coordinator as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.


Grievance Procedure

This Grievance Procedure is established to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA).  It may be used by anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of services, activities, programs, or benefits by the City of White House, Tennessee.  The City’s Personnel Policy governs employment-related complaints of disability discrimination.  

The complaint should be in writing and contain information about the alleged discrimination such as name, address, phone number of complainant and location, date, and description of the problem.  Alternative means of filing complaints, such as personal interviews or a tape recording, will be made available for persons with disabilities upon request.  

The complaint should be submitted by the grievant and/or his/her designee as soon as possible but no later than sixty (60) calendar days after the alleged violation to:

Within fifteen (15) calendar days after receipt of the complaint, the ADA Coordinator will meet with or otherwise contact the complainant to discuss the complaint and the possible resolutions.  Within fifteen (15) calendar days of the meeting, the ADA Coordinator will respond in writing, and where appropriate, in a format accessible to the complainant, such as large print, Braille, or audio tape.  The response will explain the position of the City and offer options for substantive resolution of the complaint.

If the response by the ADA Coordinator or their designee does not satisfactorily resolve the issue, the complainant or their designee may appeal the decision within fifteen (15) calendar days after receipt of the response to the City Administrator.

Within fifteen (15) days after receipt of the appeal, the City Administrator will meet with or otherwise contact the complainant to discuss the complaint and possible resolutions.  Within fifteen (15) days after the meeting, the City Administrator will respond in writing, and where appropriate, in a format accessible to the complainant, with a final resolution of the complaint.  

All complaints received by the ADA Coordinator, appeals to the City Administrator, and responses from these two offices will be retained by the City for at least three (3) years. 

Rover's Ridge Dog Park

 

Rover's Ridge has a goal of helping our community's pups to be happier and healthier. We believe that means not only giving them a beautiful place to play off-leash, but also features that challenge their mind in a setting that is comfortable and welcoming for their owners.

Rover's Ridge is located in the back section of Municipal Park on a two acre lot that offers an array of amenities for you and your dogs enjoyment. It is separated into a large dog section and small dog section, each with their own watering stations and play features. Please be sure to read the "Rules and Regulations" before entering the dog park for your and other dogs' safety.
